A NOTE, JUST FOR YOU
Thank you for
making room.
For your plans. For your reflections. For your eyedeas.
We’re so glad this little chapter has found its way to you.
With love, Krupa

01 / ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Krupa.
A head full of eyedeas.
I’m an eye care professional, educator and the person behind eyedeas.
I’d tried a number of different planners, but hadn’t found one that felt made for life in eye care. I wanted somewhere for the appointments, the learning and all the thoughts that don’t quite fit into a calendar.
That’s the idea behind your eyedeas: a planner and journal with room for notes from a team meeting, an eyedea from a CPD event, or a few thoughts to unwind after a busy week. Our work can be demanding and deeply rewarding — I wanted space for both.
About a year ago, I read Simon Squibb’s What’s Your Dream? while I was away on holiday. It made me realise how powerful my platform could be, and how much I wanted to use it to create something useful for other eye care professionals. That was when the eyedea of a planner came to mind — somewhere to bring planning, learning and reflection together.
More recently, I’ve loved The Power of Being Perfectly Imperfect by fellow optometrist Sheena Tanna-Shah. Its message of embracing imperfection fits with what I want these pages to offer: a moment to reflect, notice what went well and be a little kinder to ourselves.
I’ve worked in eye care since 2015, across hospital, community and specialist practice. Alongside this, I’m a co-director of Out of the Box Optics, where we provide training for students and qualified optometrists. Supporting others as they learn is a part of my work I love.
Giving back is part of our ethos at Out of the Box Optics, and it’s something I wanted to carry into eyedeas. That’s why £1 from every planner sold will be donated to Vision Care for Homeless People.
My Instagram chapter began on 13 December 2018. This planner brings eyedeas off the screen and onto the page — a little space you can make your own.
Whether you’re an optometrist, ophthalmologist, orthoptist, dispensing optician or working elsewhere in eye care, this is for you. And if your head is full of “I must remember that…” thoughts, you’re in good company. Welcome to eyedeas.
